As the Manager, Market and Consumer Insights (MCI), you will play a key role in shaping business strategy by researching, analyzing, and synthesizing competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and market trends across the debt relief landscape. You’ll bring a data-driven mindset and deep expertise in competitive and customer research—translating complex information into clear, actionable insights that fuel growth, enhance customer experience, and strengthen our competitive position.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct in-depth research on competitors and industry trends using a mix of traditional research methodologies to uncover strategies, product features, pricing models, marketing tactics, market positioning, and business performance.

  • Synthesize and analyze data from multiple sources to identify market shifts, emerging trends, and opportunities.
  • Translate findings into clear, compelling reports, data visualizations, presentations, and strategic intelligence tools—such as competitor comparison matrices and SWOT analyses—that equip stakeholders to make informed, strategic decisions.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, identify patterns, and surface actionable insights across market dynamics and customer behavior—enabling faster, more informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and operations teams to align on priority questions and shape the research agenda—ensuring competitive and customer insights directly inform strategies that strengthen acquisition, retention, and overall business performance.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the Market and Consumer Insights team while fostering a collaborative environment that supports high performance and continuous development.
  • Provide guidance to marketing, sales and service teams based on call listening feedback, and analytics of competitor material, review sites and other comparative mediums.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in business intelligence, market research, and/or competitive intelligence.
  • A solid understanding of the debt relief and consumer finance landscape, including key regulations and market dynamics (debt relief industry connections a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience in call listening, coaching, and development, particularly within a customer-facing or analytical role.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect data analysis to broader business objectives and long-term strategy.
  • Strong proficiency with competitive intelligence tools and technologies, along with a solid understanding of best practices in market and customer insights.
  • Proven ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to distill complex data into strategic, actionable takeaways.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with experience managing multiple initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present findings in a clear, impactful manner.
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
