Job Description

The Unit Manager is a people-leader position, responsible for coaching and developing a team of typically 12-15 front-line Outbound Loan Consultants (Sales Agents). This includes hiring, onboarding, providing leadership that directly influences behaviors on this team, and driving all aspects of team performance in KPIs and OKRs.

This position is within our Personal Loan department and reports to a Sales Manager. You will work closely with a team of other Unit Managers, Sales Managers, and the department’s Director and VP to advance a high-performance sales environment that puts the needs of our members first and promotes our Core Values.

Qualifications

What you'll do:

  • Effectively lead a team of 12-15 outbound sales representatives
  • Be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing sales agent skillsets
  • Handle call reviews, top performer call calibrations, monthly 1:1s, and other activities
  • Hold the team accountable to policies and expectations—attendance, conduct, etc.
  • Drive standard processes and procedures when working with internal and external members
  • Conduct KPI-focused weekly team meetings that inform, motivate, and recognize achievement
  • Be responsible for special projects and reporting functions, as well as sales trainings
  • Collaborate with other teams and areas off the business (Compliance, QA, etc.)

 

What you'll bring:

  • At least 2 years of sales leadership experience, preferably in a contact center environment
  • Sales mentality with prior sales experience is preferred
  • Schedule flexibility within operating hours—willing to work one weekend day and possibly closing shifts
  • High-level analytical skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present business results and influence senior leaders
  • High energy self-starter drive, capable of multi-tasking, taking initiative, and managing workload
  • Positive and professional attitude, maintaining composure under stress
  • Creativity, with the ability to be flexible and adaptable and drive employee motivation, engagement, and development

 


Additional Information

What you need to know:

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
Training: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, for the first four weeks and then spending 30-60 days in the role of a Loan Consultant in order to better understand the position so that you may coach, motivate, and lead your team
Hours: Start times vary from 6am-10:30am Monday-Friday and 7am on Saturday/Sunday
