Senior Strategic Financial Analyst

As an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Strategic Finance Analyst at Achieve, your contributions to the company's financial strategies will be invaluable. With your deep expertise in financial modeling, you will serve as a pivotal thought partner, not just within the strategic finance team but across the entire organization, supporting a range of significant strategic initiatives. Since 2002, Achieve has grown into one of the largest private consumer fintech unicorns in the U.S., with over $40B in enrollments for our industry-leading, tech-enabled debt resolution services business, and over $11Bn in personal and home loans originations via our banking-as-a-service partners. Our complimentary lending solutions are supported by an award winning ~$1Bn AuM consumer credit fund and capital markets platform (GlobalCapital, Hedgeweek) with over 17 ABS deals completed for over $5Bn.

The strategic finance team at Achieve is instrumental in sculpting the company's long-term business strategies and execution plans. Through a commitment to financial visibility, accountability, and the cultivation of strong cross-company relationships, the team ensures the company's growth strategies are both ambitious and grounded in solid data analysis.
At Achieve, the strategic finance team parachutes into key strategic business priorities and partners side-by-side with cross-functional teams to provide deep financial analysis and modeling, thought leadership and guidance, and turning discussions & white board sessions into quantitative analysis - all through the lens of finance and strategy. In this position, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute against strategic initiatives. You will spearhead deal analytics, support corporate finance activities, and drive strategic projects across the enterprise. This role will deliver important insights and actionable recommendations to senior finance and executive management. A successful candidate will ensure financial and operating decisions are based on accurate data and apply expertise to inform the overall strategy. This position will exemplify true business partnership, leading the way with collaboration, timely decision-making, alignment with strategic priorities, and value-added analysis.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Financial Modeling Initiatives: Develop and enhance complex financial models to support strategic decision-making across the enterprise. Focus on pricing & sales optimization, credit & risk management, and new product & growth initiatives to drive profitability and efficiency.
• Strategic Finance Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive dynamic, revenue-generating projects. Utilize financial modeling to analyze opportunities and present actionable insights to senior finance and executive management.
• Market Trends Analysis: Keep Achieve at the forefront of personal finance by continuously monitoring market trends. Use your insights to align our product and platform within the competitive landscape through rigorous financial analysis.
• Decision Support: Guide senior-level strategic decision-making by designing, maintaining, and enhancing advanced financial models in Excel. Craft comprehensive investment memos, deal committee materials, and other documentation to support informed decisions on corporate strategy.

What You’ll Bring:

• Expertise in Financial Modeling: Demonstrated proficiency in developing advanced Excel-based financial models. Experience in utilizing SQL and VBA to streamline and automate financial analysis is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Proven ability to deliver insightful financial analysis and present findings to the executive team. Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Project Management: Solid background in managing strategic finance initiatives from conception to execution. Proven track record of managing projects efficiently and meeting deadlines.
• Adaptability: Quick to adapt to changing business needs and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Ability to navigate cross-functional collaboration to drive project success.
• Communication and Leadership: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a knack for bridging departmental gaps and fostering understanding and cooperation across teams.
• Capital Markets Knowledge: While not the primary focus, familiarity with capital markets and traditional investment banking is beneficial.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required. An MBA is a plus, along with a resilient drive, initiative, and a strong commitment to achieving results.

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits. This information represents the expected salary range for this role. Should we decide to make an offer for employment, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
