The Achieve POV: Dante Walker's Career Journey
Dante Walker's career journey is a story of dedication, curiosity and growth. From starting as a polyethylene welder in Perth, Australia, Dante has experienced many different jobs and is now proud to be a Member Experience Supervisor at Achieve.
Dante started as an entry-level Member Services Advocate and spent his first four months learning the program inside and out and to build his skills and confidence.
Our Member Services Advocates support our members every step of the way. From onboarding and new account set up to answering any questions or educating them about the process, they’re there to help them on their new financial path.
Because our Member Service Advocates are on the front lines dealing with people often at their last resort financially, it takes compassion, care and empathy to be resilient and successful in this role. Having a mentor and someone to lean on during those tough conversations is important to your success and our members’.

The importance of coaching others
With Dante’s love of learning and pushing himself to get better every day, he quickly made another career leap to team coach. As a coach, Dante assisted in mentoring and developing other Member Service Advocates, guiding them to best serve our members and be someone they can count when challenges arise.

By providing guidance and support to those around him, Dante was able to help create a culture of care among his team.
In addition to his self-motivation and improving himself professionally, Dante sought out his own mentors along the way to provide insight into how he could become even better at what he does. These mentors gave valuable advice on customer service techniques and how best to manage his own team. This guidance helped Dante take on more responsibility and was soon promoted again to Member Experience Supervisor.
How Dante impacts our members’ future
Dedicated to providing the best member experience possible, Dante helps our advocates become more confident in their work to best serve our members and ensure that every advocate is given the tools and resources they need to succeed.
Dante’s team is focused on creating safe spaces for authentic communication and collaboration; this allows advocates to stay connected with each other, build each other up and remain open-minded throughout their career journeys to help them grow.
In leading by example through his own commitment to moving his career forward, Dante has helped instill a culture of empowerment and education among all of his teammates. His dedication to learning has enabled him to provide valuable insight into how advocates can improve their own skills through training and mentorship, so our members have everything they need for a better financial future.
